Grants play an important role in enabling FoPL to extend its programs beyond what membership fees alone can sustain. We pursue grant opportunities selectively, focused on projects with demonstrable ecological benefit and lasting value.

NRM Community Stewardship Grant
Awarded 2025
In 2025, Friends of Perry Lakes was awarded a Community Stewardship Grant through the Western Australian Government’s State Natural Resource Management (NRM) Program.
This grant is funding the next significant evolution of our work: a structured citizen science and digital platform program designed to turn our community’s observations and monitoring effort into credible, long-term ecological evidence.
What the grant supports
The platform itself is the primary deliverable of this grant. It is designed to serve FoPL’s mission well beyond the grant period.
How we approach grants
Evidence-based, transparent, traceable.
Our funding applications are evidence-based and aligned with clear project goals and demonstrable environmental benefit. FoPL is committed to transparency in its grant activities — including what we apply for, what we receive, and how funds are directed and acquitted.
Two further funding applications were pending decisions as at late 2025. We will update this page as outcomes are confirmed.
